I like that analogy of the beginning of the first draft being a train-wreck. Mine are too, for the same reasons you mention. I bet you’re a pantser!

  You got it. I always know the end. But that’s it. That and two or three chapters ahead of the one I’m on. I’ve tried outlining and can’t do it!
