Hi, gang. I’m very excited to announce that my novel, Twice Bitten, is officially published (see more about it at Regal Crest). It seems like only yesterday that I was blogging here about my struggles with it, how long it was taking me to finish it, and my concerns about “letting go” after it was done.

But the pub date finally came and it’s kind of a surreal feeling. I love the fact that Regal Crest still does print books (although they’re doing quite well in their ebook segment) because holding the print copy in my hands was a great feeling. (I talk a little bit about that in my personal blog HERE.)

Now I’m hard at work on my second novel. Some have asked me if it will be a sequel to Twice Bitten, and the answer is “no.” I had never considered a sequel. Throughout the years, my only goal was to finish that one, and the thought of doing another one was something like thinking about traveling to Mars—possible in a theoretical way but with zero likelihood.

So when it was time to start my new one, I never thought of the possibility of doing a sequel. I came up with a completely different subject with completely different characters. Although, I will say that it is also set in Victorian times and it is of the gothic variety. However, a sequel storyline popped into my head recently and there may be a sequel down the line yet. It was a big surprise to me, let me tell you, but it seems that my characters want to be heard from again. Who am I to deny them?

But first, I will focus on finishing the one currently in progress. I can (and usually do) work on several projects at once, but two novels? I think I’ll back away from that particular challenge. At least for now.
